We’ve kicked the month off with a bang!
On the 7th of July, the Bil Sha Boxing Club had the pleasure of attending The Cally Festival 2024. The Caledonian Road get-together is one of the most vibrant events of the summer, with thousands of Londoners flocking to the iconic street to celebrate the local community.
In this blog, we’ll give a recap of BSBC’s involvement with the fantastic festival and how you can get involved with the club. Let’s jump straight into it!
Boxing Fun at The Cally Festival With BSBC
The Bil Sha Boxing Club team attended the Cally Festival to show the public the adrenalin rush and wellness benefits of boxing. We’re passionate about boxing and supporting the local neighbourhoods, so joining the fun was a natural decision for the team.
The BSBC was represented by coaches Costa and Marc, as well as Saadiyah and Sinead, our club secretary.
At The Cally, we created an inclusive environment that inspired guests of all skill levels to step into the ring and show their moves. From beginners to experts, everyone was welcome to participate. The diverse talent we witnessed in London was truly impressive.
Alongside boxing fun, we were also present to answer the public’s questions about boxing and the club. No question was too small, and our team enjoyed chatting with new faces. Hopefully, we’ll see a few of them at the club soon!
We also informed visitors about the wide range of classes available at the club, such as Fit 2 Box, Ladies Only Boxing Classes, and Advanced Boxing. To learn more, check out the list of upcoming classes here.
Overall, The Cally was an incredible day! We were thrilled to meet so many new people and introduce them to the club. It was equally heartwarming to see our existing members enjoying the atmosphere. We want to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who turned up and said hello.
The BSBC team can’t wait to attend again next year!
What Else Happened at The Cally Festival?
The Cally Festival is a dynamic event held annually on Caledonian Road.
For one day, the road is closed off, and artists, craft stalls, creative workshops, food stalls, bands, and local organisations take to the street to enjoy a day of fun and partying. With shows and events for all ages, The Cally Festival is a must for all locals and visitors.
